Scientists from the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings of CTU have connected a mineralization unit WatiMin, from the company EuroClean, to the prototype of the S.A.W.E.R. system, which creates water out of the air using solar energy and which is capable of cultivating the desert using subsurface cultures (solar-air-water-energy-resources). The technological core of the national exposition at the EXPO 2020 in Dubai is a joint project of the CTU and the Czech Academy of Sciences, but private companies will also participate in its construction.
The doors of the Czech pavilion are open to all those interested in showing off what they can offer in the UAE

In a lab in Buštěhrad, where desert climatic conditions are being simulated, the scientists from the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings (UCEEB) CTU brought to life the machine that makes water out of the air. The mobile version of the S.A.W.E.R. system (solar-air-water-earth -resources) is the size of a shipping container and is capable of producing up to one hundred litres of water per day – the capacity of this technology integrated into the national pavilion at the EXPO 2020 in Dubai should be fivefold.
