The Czech Republic is opening the month of December at the EXPO with a conference about modern energetics and sustainability

26. 11. 2021

In less than a week, on the 1st of December, the Czech Republic will host the international energy conference EGO, or Energy Group Objectives, with the subtopic Czech Science, Sustainable Energy & Smart Mobility. The Czech Republic has taken the lead and is at the forefront of the group of countries that present new energy solutions at the EXPO.

Sustainable energy sources, energy storage methods, smart system management, clean mobility, hydrogen production, modular nuclear reactors, etc., are all areas with great potential. They are also areas in which Czech companies excel and have something to offer to the world. And that is why they will have the opportunity to present themselves at the conference at the EXPO world exposition.

“Civilization cannot get by without energy – this is confirmed by the current dramatic increase in energy prices. However, it is also clear that humanity will have to produce it much more carefully than before," says the General Commissioner Jiří František Potužník on the Czech initiative at the World's Fair. "Our pavilion at the EXPO stands in the Sustainability Zone precisely because Czech companies and Czech scientists are aware of this, and they are already offering the world solutions that can help keep our planet blue and green in the future”.

Representatives of UCEEB (University Center for Energy Efficient Buildings at CTU) who developed the S.A.W.E.R. system (Solar Air Water Resources) - a device that produces water from the air only with the help of solar energy. This device contains five Czech patents, including hybrid solar collectors, which can generate hot water and electricity at the same time and therefore need only half the area of regular collectors or a new generation of batteries that eliminate the risk of ignition.

Furthermore, important partners of the Czech Republic's participation at the EXPO, who are already presenting their clever solutions in the national pavilion, will present themselves at the conference. Therefore, the participants of the conference can look forward to interesting speakers from companies such as FENIX Group, GreenTech, and the Institute of Microbiology of the ASCR.

However, other Czech institutions and companies with unique know-how in the field of modern energy or clean mobility will also speak at the conference, whose leaders will fly to Dubai for the sole reason of participating at the EGO conference. Brno University of Technology, JRD Energo, Tremondi and EVC Group will all be among them.

The conference, held in the immediate vicinity of the pavilion of the Czech Republic, will be moderated and opened together with Commissioner General Jiří F. Potužník by Jan Fousek, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Solar Association, Director of the AKU-BAT Energy Storage Association and member of the Board of the Association energy. He also leads the aforementioned smaller delegation of Czech companies in the field to Dubai. He is also the one leading the aforementioned smaller delegation of Czech companies from the field to Dubai. "After years of negative political and medial attitudes, climate protection, clean energy sources, and sustainability in general are no longer empty words. Czechia stands on the threshold of positive changes in energy, clean mobility, and industry. Historically, domestic companies and universities have amazing know-how in the field of modern technologies. So far, however, they have not been able to fully realize in the Czech Republic due to a certain amount of caution from Czech politicians. Therefore, I am very pleased that, together with the team of the General Commissioner Jiří F. Potužník at the EXPO in Dubai, we can present both the unique solutions of Czech companies and the Czech Republic as a modern country", says Jan Fousek, who also participated in creating program of the conference.
