Today the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, along with a large delegation, visited the pavilion of the Czech Republic at the EXPO 2020 World Exposition in Dubai. In addition to the technology S.A.W.E.R., which produces water from dry air and cultivates the desert, she was also interested in PSI's phenotyping unit, which reads the genetic predispositions of plants based on their responses to light and sound as well as the IQ structures nanoobjects modelled with a precision of ten nanometres.

"The technology for obtaining water from the air even in a dry environment was very interesting. The issue of water and water resources will be a big topic for the future, and that is why I was intrigued by this technology ", said Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová after visiting the pavilion Czech Spring.

Jiří František Potužník, the Commissioner General of Czech Republic's participation at the EXPO in Dubai, guided the First Lady of the Slovak Republic through the pavilion which currently houses a temporary exhibition of the Ministry of Industry and Trade presenting thirty-two Czech companies whose innovative technologies together create a city for the future.

"Both countries are united not only by a common history but also by the thematic focus of their expositions at the World's Fair - in both cases, they place more emphasis on innovation and original technologies than on the beauties of nature or their cultural heritage," said Jiří F. Potužník after the visit of the Slovak president. "Madam President Zuzana Čaputová is also the type of person and politician whose visit is a great honour for both the pavilion and for me personally."

The Commissioner General of Czech participation at the EXPO presented the President of the Slovak Republic with a gift - unique original Art Nouveau earrings from gold and Czech garnets based on the design of the painter Alfons Mucha and made by his granddaughter Jarmila Mucha Plocková.
