Concepts and aims of the Czech participation
EXPO is understood to be an economic and cultural Olympiad of nations. Our aim is to present the Czech Republic as an attractive and prosperous country in the heart of Europe, which in its unique way, contributes to the creation and maintenance of civilizational values.
This is why we are entering with new understanding of the Czech Republic's participation in EXPO. We wish to make the visitors to the Czech pavilion become actively interested in the Czech Republic in the tourism sense, culture and business contacts.
For this reason, Czech participation will seek closer collaboration with entrepreneurs, besides the organizational elements of the state during this preparatory stage. The exposition and supplementary programs will be prepared so that they impart a clear message about the Czech Republic to the visitors as well as potential business partners.
New features in the Czech Republic's participation vis-à-vis past EXPOs:
- Economic and cultural promotion of the Czech Republic, instead of artistic and cultural;
- Focusing on the modern present of the Czech Republic, not its history;
- 20% of the pavilion will be set aside for economic promotion;
- Meeting Room for representatives of the Czech Republic and businessmen will be available;
- Co-financing of commercial activities by business;
- Presentation of counties and the capital city of Prague as part of an associated project;
- EXPO On-line - virtual presentation of the Czech Pavilion on the web;
- Competition open to the young for the best presentation "What will my city do to improve our lives";
- Organizationally, only 4 state employees, project-wise - EXPO subs;
- Modern forms of communication.
