EXPO 2010: Presentation of the supporting programmes for Czech participation at EXPO 2010
In the face of the greatest competition between national participations that has been seen in the history of World Fairs, the organisers of our participation have chosen to expand the Czech presence at EXPO 2010 with a number of supporting programmes, not only in the pavilion and in the Fair grounds, but also in part outside them. The principal criterion for choosing suitable programmes was in particular their exclusivity to the Czech participation, with all exhibitions having their premiere in Shanghai. Of no less importance was quality of the highest order and a connection both to the main theme "A better city means a better life" as well as to the Czech Republic's "Fruits of Civilization" exposition. The organisers chose the individual programmes using competitive tenders, always in conjunction with experts in the given field - with the directors of prestigious Czech galleries and theatres and with leading film directors.
