The Taiwan Pavilion will host a farewell ceremony tonight to mark its successful showcase at the 2010 World Expo. Lights will be turned off on the transparent cube during the ceremony.

Special gift from Colombia
The Colombia Pavilion on Tuesday presented an emerald carving of Haibao, the Expo 2010 mascot, to Shanghai Expo Museum. The emerald weighing 5,000 carats took skilled craftsmen nearly two months to carve.

Hong Kong Week kicks off with a blast
Hong Kong Week kicked off yesterday and runs through Friday. Hong Kong's famous Police Band will perform throughout the week in the Expo site. Formed in 1951, the Hong Kong Police Band has performed around the world.

Belgium-EU Pavilion stages art show
Oil paintings depicting the Expo pavilions of 27 EU countries are on display at the Belgium-EU Pavilion. The paintings were all created by a Shanghai artist, Zhou Minglong.

Painting exhibition at Slovakia Pavilion
